Sally, the Salesforce Sleuth, was asked by Tim, a new tester on the team, to find out why he is unable to view the new Support page that was just deployed to QA sandbox.
Gather Information
Sally gathers the following information about the issue.
- New App Page called ‘Support’ was deployed to QA sandbox yesterday.
- Access to the page is done using a permission set called Fnc Support (name indicates this permission set should provide all the necessary access to view and perform Support activities)
- Test User has been assigned the Fnc Support permission set.
Research
Sally looks into the permission set to see what access is defined. After reviewing the Object Settings she notices that the Support app page is not visible.

The Fix
Sally modifies the new permission set in the dev sandbox to make the Support app page visible and redeploys the change to QA sandbox. She logs in as the test user in QA sandbox to verify the new app page is now visible.
Sally informs Tim that he can continue with his testing.
